Mac's unique and exciting approach to film scoring brings new colors and dimensions to cinematic storytelling.

"I can't remember a time I wasn't making someone happy, telling a tale through music". After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado and Northwestern University, Mac began a career teaching music but never lost his love for composing. As a trumpet player he wrote for his instrument as well as taking

commissions for concert band, jazz band, choir and symphony orchestra.

 

Mac began writing film scores when his son, Monte, began producing his own short films. Short films became feature films and Mac began writing more and more for his son and others. Together as artists, father and son have worked for Terror films and James Cullen Bressack. These include the feature films, SPACE, Blood Covered Chocolate and Bittertooth.
